Season's Greetings from Executive

In just the blink of an eye, we are rapidly approaching the end of yet another year. 2016 has been a momentous time for QCT. Before we charge headlong into 2017, let’s take a moment to look at our numerous accomplishments in the past year.

In the 12 months since the opening of the US Cloud Solution Center, QCT has established itself in the US cloud and data center industry as a formidable provider of cutting-edge products and solutions, and a thought leader in the field of hyper-converged infrastructure. To commemorate its one-year anniversary on October 6, we proudly held the Silicon Valley’s first-ever Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) Conference at the US Cloud Solution Center, attracting over 350 attendees and many illustrious guest speakers from tech partners like Intel, VMware, Microsoft, Red Hat, Seagate, the OpenStack Foundation and OCP Foundation. The conference was warmly received and highly successful, generating valuable networking opportunities, exchange of ideas, and abundance of quality content on HCI technology.

On September 20, we opened QCT’s European Head Office in Düsseldorf, Germany. With our new presence in the EMEA region, we are poised and ready to provide better, more comprehensive support for cloud service providers, enterprises and SMEs in Europe and around the world. This is just one of many global cloud solution centers we hope to establish worldwide to extend our reach to the international market.

Throughout the year we sponsored and participated in over 30 events across the globe, contributing to major conferences like OCP Summit and hosting engineering workshops and meetups for communities like OpenStack. Particularly of note, we were pleased to sponsor events in support of students and education: the 2016 CPFA Scratch Hackathon, which serves to provide the facilities and tools to underprivileged young students who want to code; and the Student Cluster Competition at SC16, where we supported a team of young engineers from National Tsing Hua University to complete a supercomputing challenge.

In order to extend QCT’s brand and presence online, we invested a great deal in building up our digital marketing, in the areas of social media, video production, content marketing, search engine optimization, Google Display Ads and new, better-optimized QCT website. As a result of improved strategy, growing focus and increased content on the web, our follower counts and engagement rates multiplied twofold, even threefold across all major digital media channels within a year.

In addition, QCT was shortlisted as one of the year’s " 20 Most Promising IT Infrastructure Solution Providers " by CIO Review, a recognized publication on technology and innovation in the business realm.

I sincerely appreciate all your tremendous work, without which we could not have accomplished these important milestones. Thank you all for your continued efforts to make QCT successful, and I wish you a joyous holiday season and a happy new year.

Mike Yang, President of QCT
